As the veil thins at Samhain, we are invited to pause and honor the tender spaces in our lives that grief has touched. This gathering is a sacred container for remembering loved ones who have passed, as well as acknowledging the grief that comes from relationships we’ve had to release, whether through distance, estrangement, or choice.
Together, we will hold space for story-sharing, reflection, and ritual. You are welcome and encouraged to bring photos, mementos, or symbols of the people you wish to honor. There will be time to speak aloud the names and stories of those you carry in your heart, and also time for quiet witness if you prefer to share silently.
Through candlelight, fireside stories, community, and gentle ceremony, we will weave our grief into something held—not alone, but together. This gathering is not about fixing or rushing the grieving process, but about honoring it as a natural part of our human experience, and finding comfort in being witnessed.
All are welcome, no matter where you are on your journey with grief.
As a note, this event will be held at Addie’s personal residence on her acreage in Council Bluffs. You will get the address after signing up. The event will mostly take place outside, weather permitting; an indoor space is available if the temperature drops below 45 degrees.
